Part-time lecturer in Italian
Northwestern University’s Department of French and Italian invites applications for a part-time lecturer in Winter and Spring Quarters 2025 to teach one or two sections of elementary Italian per quarter on the Evanston campus contingent on adequate enrollments. The Winter Quarter will begin on January 6 and end on March 22, and the Spring Quarter will run from April 1st through June 13. Applicants should be fluent in Italian and in English, hold a PhD or MA (preferably with “ABD” status) in Italian studies or in a related field, and have prior experience in teaching Italian as a foreign/second language.
Applications consisting of a cover letter, a CV, statement of teaching philosophy, and if available, student evaluations should be submitted in PDF format to Professor Daniela Pozzi Pavan d-pavan@northwestern.edu. In addition, two letters of recommendation (at least one of which should address excellence in teaching) should be submitted to the same email address.
