Position Title: Assistant Professor of Instruction in Italian

Job Description:

Assistant Professor of Instruction in Italian for Evanston, IL location. Work with existing faculty in Italian and teach at the elementary and intermediate levels of language. Six units of teaching over three quarters per year. Participate in professional development, research, and/or creative work in language pedagogy, linguistics or Italian studies.

Job Requirements:

Ph.D. in Italian or in a related field required. ABD accepted in lieu of PhD award.

Required: Must demonstrate native or near-native proficiency in Italian and in English. Education or experience must include: teaching Italian as FL/L2 required. Applications must include a cover letter, CV, a statement of teaching philosophy, student course evaluations and three letters of recommendation (at least one of which must address excellence in teaching. $64,000/yr-$72,000/yr.
