Jessica Neushwander

Ph.D. 2018

Jessica Neushwander received her Ph.D. in French and Francophone Studies. After receiving a B.A. in French and International Studies with a minor in Japanese from Illinois Wesleyan University. Jessica spent two years teaching English in Japan. She also earned a Certificate in Translation (FR>EN) from NYU. Her primary area of academic interest is Francophone literature from the Maghreb, but she is also interested in feminist studies. Jessica defended her thesis entitled: Rereading Fascism: War, Anti-colonialism, and the Crisis of National Identity In Early 20th Century Far-Right French Literature and Thought in the fall of 2018. Jessica is currently an Upper School French Instructor at the Abington School.
