Jessica Neushwander

Jessica Neushwander received her Ph.D. in French and Francophone Studies. After receiving a B.A. in French and International Studies with a minor in Japanese from Illinois Wesleyan University, Jessica spent two years teaching English in Japan. She also earned a Certificate in Translation (FR>EN) from NYU. Her primary area of academic interest is Francophone literature from the Maghreb, but she is also interested in feminist studies. Jessica defended her thesis entitled: Rereading Fascism: War, Anti-colonialism, and the Crisis of National Identity In Early 20th Century Far-Right French Literature and Thought in the fall of 2018. Jessica is currently an Upper School French Instructor at the Abington School, where she is also the Assistant Coach on the Varsity Cross-Country and Track & Field teams.
