DEPARTMENT OF FRENCH AND ITALIAN

Moussa Seck completed his Ph.D. in the Department of French and Italian in 2023. Moussa’s dissertation research explored the singularity of the stranger in the francophone migration novel. Moussa is one of the recipients of the Paris Program in Critical Theory at Northwestern for the year 2020. He is the 2017 Foreign Language and Area Studies awardee. His academic interests include Migration and diaspora studies, language and identity, and francophone theatre. Moussa is a freelance translator working for Northwestern ISITA and the Block Museum.
